INDIANA BOROUGH POLICE
Indiana borough police have charged an Indiana man with theft from a motor vehicle for an incident on Monday. Police were called out at 11:05 AM to the 400 block of Poplar Avenue for a report of someone breaking into a car and stealing items. The vehicle owner said that he saw Steven Mitulski inside his vehicle stealing items. He stopped and held Mitulski while another family member called 911. Mitulski was later released. Charges of theft from a motor vehicle and criminal mischief have been filed with district judge Guy Haberl.
Indiana borough police have charged two Homer City men with drug-related crimes for an incident last month in the Locust Street area. Police say they encountered 24-year-old Benjamin Polando and 29-year-old Tylor Packer, both of Homer City, in the 600 block of Locust Street in possession of crack cocaine and marijuana. During the encounter, Polando tried to destroy the drugs by eating them. Both men were taken into custody. Polando was charged with possession of a controlled substance and tampering with evidence, while Packer was charged with possession of a controlled substance and of drug paraphernalia.
