It was an offensive explosion at the KCAC Monday afternoon, as the IUP basketball teams routed Edinboro.
The women scored 31 first-quarter points, led by Lauren Wolosik’s 16, en route to a 97-73 win to remain undefeated at 15-0. Wolosik finished the night with a career-high 33, while adding 10 assists for the first double-double of her career. Carolyn Appleby scored 23, moving her into fifth place on the all-time scoring list at 1,392. The biggest test comes Wednesday night, playing host to once-beaten California.
California beat Seton Hill last night 66-51.
The men put up 65 first-half points in a 102-53 point drubbing of the Scots, running their record to 16-1. Seven players hit double figures. Malik Miller had 18, while Cobo Diaz and Dante Lombardi tallied double-doubles. Diaz had 13 points and 13 rebounds, while Lombardi posted16 points and 10 assists. Also reaching double figures were Marko Krivacevic and Chucky Humphries with 14 each, Anthony White with 11 and Armoni Foster with 10.
The Crimson Hawks had a season-low nine turnovers.
California dropped a 72-70 decision to Seton Hill last night.
