Mark Joseph Alchier Sr., 60, Largo, Florida died after a long battle with cancer on January 15, 2019 at his daughters residence surrounded by his family. He was the son of the late Christy and Dorothy (Kuepper) and was born September 2, 1958 in Gibsonia.
Mark enjoyed deep sea fishing, hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren while teaching them how to fish. He also enjoyed riding his tractor and drinking craft beer with family and friends. Mark was funny, strong willed and was greatly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was employed by St. Pete’s College as an electrician.
Mark is survived by his wife, Nancy; his daughter, Heather and husband Garry Birchall, Homer City; his son, Mark J. Alchier Jr. and fiancee Britany Bekina, Cherry Tree, PA and his grandchildren, Nathan and Brianna Birchall. He is also survived by his brother, Dave Alchier and wife Betty, Gibsonia and their children, Valerie and William Alchier.
Friends will be received Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 9 AM until service at noon at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City.
