Indiana County Coroner Jerry Overman, Jr. has announced that one person died on the road yesterday.
According to a news release, Leatha Grace Smith, an 82-year-old woman from Glen Campbell, passed away in a car that was involved in a minor accident Wednesday morning. Overman said that around 7:29 AM, Smith was travelling west on Route 286 near Arcadia Road when she suffered a medical emergency that ended with a minor motor vehicle crash that involved only her car. There were no signs of injury.
Cause of death is pending but the manner of death has been listed as natural. Investigation into her death is continuing as an autopsy has been scheduled.
