Four people were injured in a crash that happened on Wednesday morning in the Pine Township area of Route 422.
State Police say the crash happened on 422 just west of Tara Acres in Pine Township. Troopers say at 7:54 in the morning, 27-year-old Katrina Decker of Clymer was going East on 422 and was in the right-hand lane travelling down the hill when her car lost traction on the icy road. The car slid across the left lane and over the center lines before colliding head on with a car driven by Michele Loftus of Indiana that was going West on 422.
Both vehicles sustained damaged and had to be towed. Decker, Loftus, and two passengers in Lofutus’ car, 32-year-old Melissa Sandofini of Strognsown and 25-year-old Christine Decker of Strongstown were all injured. Katrina Decker, Sandolphini and Christine Decker refused transportation to the hospital, while Loftus was taken to IRMC for treatment.
