Kenneth L. White, 78, of Indiana, passed away Monday, Jan. 7, 2019, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
A son of the late Blaine C. White and Genevieve A. Schrecengost White Rhinard, he was born Aug. 2, 1940, in Dayton.
Mr. White retired from the Helen Mining Company and up until 2011, he had worked at Eat ‘n Park. He enjoyed watching the Steelers, game shows, Days of Our Lives, and being with his family at special events.
He is survived by four children: Carol A. Johnson and husband Bill, of Blairsville; Charlotte J. Ruffner, of Penn Run; Randall C. White and wife Suzanne, of Home; Wendy R. “Becky” White and companion Bill Shetler, of Indiana; a sister, Nancy L. White, of Indiana; numerous other step brothers and step sisters; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Thompson White; a son, Donald White; a brother, James A. White; and a sister, LaRue J. Stewart.
Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Robinson-Lytle, Inc., Indiana, where an additional visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Micah McMillen officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
