Clifford M. Cupples, age 98 of Indiana, formerly of Villa Park, IL, went home to be with his Lord on Friday, December 28 at the home of his niece, Kathleen Holland.
He was born in 1920 in Clymer to Amos Raymond and Ellen Sward Cupples. He was a graduate of the Clymer High School. He joined the US Army Air Corp and was stationed in Hawaii during the Pearl Harbor attack.
Cliff was employed as a dock foreman for Eazor Express in Chicago until his retirement in 1985. He married Virginia Esposito Cupples in 1958.
Surviving is a step-granddaughter Cara Allen, Chicago, IL; three nieces and one nephew, Kathleen Holland and husband Patrick, Indiana; Angie Long, Mario Center; Renee Dolan and husband Joseph, Clymer, James Cupples and wife Beverly, Rome, NY; numerous great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-father Lester Colgan, his wife Virginia in 2002, his step-daughter Bernadette Allen in 2018, brothers Arthur “Ray” Cupples, Edward “Buzz” Cupples, and sister Evelyn Martin.
Entombment will be made in the Chapel Hill Mausoleum, Oakbrook Terrace, IL. Military honors will be provided by the
US Army.
