Running back James Conner was a full participant in practice yesterday for the Steelers as they prepare for the regular season finale against the Bengals. Conner has missed the last three games with a high ankle sprain but says he thinks he can play Sunday. Safety Sean Davis and linebacker Vince Williams sat out yesterday. Both were injured on Sunday against the Saints.
At 8-6-1, Pittsburgh needs a win and a Baltimore loss to make the playoffs as the AFC North champion. The Ravens are 9-6 and will host the Browns to wrap up the year.
Cornerback Joe Haden was named winner of “The Chief Award” by the Pittsburgh chapter of the Pro Football Writers of America. The award is for a player’s cooperation with the media. Safety Terrell Edmunds was named winner of the “Joe Greene Great Performance Award” as the rookie of the year.
