The Steelers host the Bengals on Sunday in their regular season finale. At 8-6-1, Pittsburgh needs a win and help from the Cleveland Browns in order to make the playoffs. The Steelers can still catch Baltimore for the AFC North title if they beat the Bengals and the Browns beat the Ravens in Baltimore.
The Steelers’ injury report includes safety Sean Davis, with a quad injury, linebacker Vince Williams, with an injured toe, and running back James Conner, who continues to recover from a high ankle sprain that has caused him to miss the last three games. None of the three have been ruled out yet, as the team waits to see how they are during practices this week.
Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger says he won’t think about the 2019 season until the 2018 season is over, but he has “every intention” of playing next year. It would be his sixteenth NFL season. Big Ben leads the NFL in passing yardage and is just 158 yards away from his first 5,000-yard season. He also leads the league in a more unfortunate statistic. He has thrown 15 interceptions, which is tied with the Jets’ Sam Darnold for the most pickoffs.
