Within two days of the list being released by State Police, troopers from the Indiana barracks have announced two arrests from their “five most wanted” list for December.
Once again, the list paying immediate dividends, with two arrests announced within 24 hours of each other. The first arrest reported was that of 27-year-old Alec James Gamble, who was wanted in Indiana County for a 2018 felony theft in Homer City. He was charged with felony counts of theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property, along with a summary charge of driving on a suspended or revoked license for an incident on December 10th. Police say he was apprehended by police in his hometown of Vandergrift in Westmoreland County. He was taken back to Indiana County Jail to await a preliminary hearing on January 8th, as he was unable to post $15,000 bail.
A few hours later, police announced the arrest of Jacob Dylan Shedlock of Clymer, who was wanted for a 2018 theft in the Saltsburg area. Court documents show that the charges against him are all of the misdemeanor level, and the charges include theft by unlawful taking, theft by deception and receiving stolen property. He was arraigned by District Judge Guy Haberl and was released on his own recognizance, but he is due for a preliminary hearing on January 9th before District Judge Jennifer Rega.
Three remain on the Most Wanted List for December, and those three are Joseph John Benko of Clymer, Anthony Michael Coco of Windber and Jacie Nicole Long of Indiana. Police remind you that if you see these three people, do not try to apprehend them yourself, but give police a call at 724-357-1960.
