Two 34-year-old Indiana men who already have criminal histories are facing drug charges in separate cases investigated by Indiana Borough Police.
Police say Douglas Lydic was taken into custody yesterday and charged with possession with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He’s accused of having 217 stamp bags of heroin on him shortly after midnight on October 24th. Lydic was taken to the Indiana County Jail to await arraignment before District Judge Guy Haberl.
Police say Frank Gardner is charged with possession with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia for an October, 2016 incident on North 5th Avenue in White Township, in which he sold a heroin/fentanyl mix to undercover officers with the Indiana County Drug Task Force.
Gardner has had more than a dozen cases make their way through the Indiana County Court system, including one in 2015 in which he was arrested in a county-wide drug sweep and was characterized by police as a “mid-level drug dealer.” He was already in the Indiana County Jail when the new charges were filed yesterday.
