District 6 has announced that Friday’s Class A semifinal game between Northern Cambria and Penns Manor has been moved to Penns Manor High School. Field conditions at Duffy Daugherty Stadium in Northern Cambria are too poor and the weather forecast promises even worse conditions, prompting the switch to the artificial turf surface at Pat Corrigan Field in Kenwood.
Top seed Northern Cambria squeaked by Saltsburg, 36-34 last Friday night in the mud of their home field, while number 5 seed United beat Portage. The airtime for Friday’s game will be 6:15 on U92.5 FM and U92 streaming on the TribLIVE High School Sports Network.
Also on Friday, Ligonier Valley and Richland meet in the District 6 Double-A championship game at Mansion Park in Altoona. That will air on Cat Country 106.3 FM and Cat Country streaming on the TribLIVE High School Sports Network.
