State System of Higher Education Chancellor Dan Greenstein visits IUP today, continuing his tour of the fourteen state-owned universities.
The new chancellor has an ambitious schedule, starting with a morning bike ride and including an open forum this afternoon. In a recent appearance on Indiana In the Morning, State System Spokesman Kenn Marshall said Greenstein will have a morning of meetings with the Council of Trustees, IUP President Michael Driscoll and his cabinet, faculty, and others.
The open forum is free and open to all. In previous campus visits to other schools, he’s talked about tuition and student retention and the State System redesign. Last week at Clarion, he said the “culture” between the Board of Governors, upper management, faculty, and staff at the State System is in need of repair, and he addressed the competitive environment with schools outside the State System.
This afternoon’s session will include a question-and-answer period. It’s from 1:30 to 2:45 in the PNC Room of the Kovalchick Complex.
