Today’s schedule in Indiana County Court includes a number of DUI pleas and resultant sentencing, plus several probation revocations.
Also on the schedule is the sentencing of 20-year-old Frank David Romano of Blairsville, who in a plea bargain admitted guilt to two charges, criminal mischief and a felony firearms offense. Additional charges will not be prosecuted, among them another firearms offense, attempted reckless burning, eight counts of criminal mischief, and three counts of theft from a vehicle.
Romano was caught last May sleeping in his vehicle when state police followed his footprints in the snow after being called to North 4th Avenue in Chevy Chase, in White Township. The troopers found a loaded 9-millimeter handgun in the Jeep, and it turned out he was not supposed to be in the vehicle, which was owned by an Indiana woman. Police also followed footprints to other vehicles he had broken into.
In other court action today:
- Plea Court will be held for 23-year-old Michael Daniel Goss of Clymer, who is charged with corruption of minors, two counts of harassment, and disorderly conduct, committed in June of this year. He’s already an inmate at SCI Somerset and has been involved in several other criminal cases in Indiana County.
- 21-year-old Jason Cirocco of Finleyville, Washington County, has Plea Court scheduled to answer to charges of possession with intent to deliver and three other possession counts, for a small amount of marijuana, a controlled substance, and drug paraphernalia.
- 34-year-old Joshua Gibson of Indiana will be sentenced for terroristic threats.
