White Township Supervisors met last night and talked about work on a new version of the township’s storm water ordinance.
Work on improving the ordinance has been going on for the past few months, and the borough has received help from David Smith, a township resident who has been adversely affected by excess water from bad retention ponds and the heavy rains that have come through. Some of the changes discussed last night include making the ordinance in effect for subdivisions with lots and doing inspections for water drainage at the time of deed transfer
A final draft of the ordinance could come before the supervisors for their next meeting.
In other business, the supervisors approved a deal with T.D. Short to remove the truck scales that are in front of the township offices. The scales have been blocked off and out of operation for a few years, and TD Short is offering to get rid of the scale at no cost to the township, according to township manager Milt Lady.
The removal is expected to take two weeks.
