There is Indiana County Court action scheduled today for a number of criminal defendants. That includes one man who is involved in seven separate criminal cases.
In one case, 40-year-old Bradley Kuzemchak of Blairsville will be sentenced for selling an uncontrolled substance while representing it as a controlled substance, which is a felony offense. Other charges for which he pled guilty include possession with intent to deliver, two counts of retail theft, possession of drug paraphernalia, and receiving stolen property. In that particular case, police said Kuzemchak stole a debit card from a vehicle parked at the Burrell Township Sheetz store and used it to drain $2,160 from the victim’s account.
Jury selection is scheduled today for three trials, including one for a Pittsburgh man accused of the rape of a child. 46-year-old George Andrew Dorsey is also charged with five other felony sex-related offenses. He is currently an inmate at the Allegheny County Jail and has faced numerous criminal proceedings in that county, including sex-related crimes.
27-year-old Tahir Witherspoon of Philadelphia will stand trial for possession with intent to deliver, conspiracy to the same offense, possession, and false ID to a police officer. Indiana Borough police last June caught Witherspoon and a woman allegedly selling heroin.
29-year-old Kadeem Meggett of Indiana will be sentenced for resisting arrest in a plea bargain. He is the father of a toddler girl who was found wet and barefoot wandering on School Street last May. When Meggett was located and arrived on the scene, he was hostile to the police officers, and – in their words – began “viciously yelling at her and vigorously (shaking) her”.
48-year-old Joy Ann McIntire of Saltsburg is scheduled for jury selection in a DUI case today, but has opted for Plea Court instead. 39-year-old Crystal Depetris of Indiana has Plea Court scheduled today for two cases. She’s charged with retail theft and two counts of defiant trespass.
