PSP-INDIANA
State Police are investigating a theft that happened Saturday at the White Township Wal-Mart. Police say around 4:00 PM, a 20-year-old Indiana man stole $124.12 worth of merchandise from the store. Police have not named the alleged thief or what he allegedly stole.
No one was injured in a crash on Saturday in White Township. Police say that 29-year-old Stephanie Beatty of Homer City was driving north on Indian Springs Road when the car hit a utility pole shearing it off. The car came to rest on the roadway facing southeast. Beatty was wearing her seat belt at the time, but she was cited for not driving on roads laned for traffic. Traffic was stopped along that road for a few hours as utility workers installed a new pole.
PSP-KITTANNING
One person had a suspected minor injury in a crash in Cowanshannock Township. State Police in Kittanning said that 31-year-old Jonathan Troup of Rural Valley was driving his ATV on Kime Road. Troup lost control and fish-tailed the ATV and it eventually rolled, throwing Troup from the vehicle. Troup was taken by a private vehicle to Indiana Regional Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. Police believe that Troup was under the influence of alcohol. Further charges are pending the results of blood tests.
