An Indiana man has plead guilty to two counts of felony indecent assault involving children.
In Westmoreland County Plea Court, an Indiana man on Friday pleaded guilty to two counts of felony indecent assault involving a child under age thirteen, and was sentenced to 18 to 36 months in prison. 34-year-old Wolfgang Sommer will also serve two years of probation, is banned from having contact with juveniles, and will also have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
He admitted to having repeated sexual contact with two girls, starting when they were six years old and continuing until they were age thirteen. The investigation originated in May of this year. In June, Sommer was charged with twenty felony offenses, ten each for indecent assault and for endangering the welfare of children. State police from the Kiski Valley station say Sommer abused the two girls while he was living with their mother between 2010 and the summer of 2017. At his sentencing, Sommer apologized for his crimes and said he pled guilty to spare the girls from having to testify in court.
