IUP is getting ready for next week’s International Education Week activities.
International Education Week is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of education to promote cross-cultural awareness and to prepare students for a global environment. Events at IUP during the week include an international fashion show, discussions on overseas travel, study and service and an education abroad fair.
The celebration ends with a U.S. Citizenship Naturalization Ceremony at the KCAC. This marks the eighth year that IUP will host a naturalization ceremony. The event is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the office of International Education, with people coming in from over the greater Pittsburgh area to take part in the ceremony. The ceremonies start at noon on Friday.
