State police report two instances of public drunkenness and a crash in Indiana.
The first occurred Friday morning around 1:45 AM, when 22-year-old Aaron Flowers of Greensburg was found to be intoxicated and causing a disturbance on the property of the Indiana Regional Medical Center. A charge of public drunkenness has been filed.
The second instance occurred Saturday at 1 AM at a location along 7th Street in Indiana. Police determined 21-year-old Michael Hans Awuah of The Bronx, New York, was intoxicated and a hazard to himself and others. He was arrested and charged with public drunkenness.
State police report a crash on Philadelphia Street in Indiana. The two-vehicle crash occurred at 11:23 AM on Saturday, approximately 330 feet east of the Ben Franklin intersection. An SUV driven by 34-year-old Zachary Whited of Indiana was carrying a 4-year-old passenger when it failed to stop while approaching a red light. The SUV struck the rear of a sedan driven by 31-year-old Vernon Brundage of Hyattsville, Maryland. 37-year-old Umar Davis of Bear, Delaware was the passenger in that vehicle. Both vehicles sustained damage, but no injuries are reported. The driver of the SUV is facing a charge for following too closely. The child in that vehicle was secured in a safety seat.
