Today is the main part of Homecoming Weekend, and there are several events scheduled for today.
Things will kick off with the IUP Homecoming parade through town starting at 10:00. The parade route will follow the same route that it has in the past.
The road closures will get underway at 9:00 AM for the staging area and the parade steps off at 10:00. This year’s parade theme is “Seasons” and nearly 80 campus and community units will take part.
After the parade, the Alumni and Friends Crimson Huddle will get underway at 11:00 at the KCAC and run until game time at 2:00. After that, it’s IUP vs. Slippery Rock for the annual Homecoming game at 2:00. We’ll have a preview of that game coming up in Sports.
For students, there will be a Homecoming Late Night Party at the KCAC from 8:30 to 1:00 the next morning, with a carnival theme.
Tomorrow morning, students will be out and about in the community cleaning up from the homecoming festivities. There will also be a Homecoming Bands concert at Fisher Auditorium at 3:00.
