A home was destroyed by fire Friday evening in Center Township.
Indiana County 911 reported that Homer City, Coral-Graceton, Indiana and Blacklick Fire Departments were called out for the house fire on Coy Street at 5:54 PM. Homer City Assistant Chief Joe Izzei, Sr. said that Gary Kislak was running the dryer and had left, but an electrical malfunction in the dryer caused a spark and that set the house on fire.
Kislak and his wife were not in the house at the time, but the home itself is a complete loss. The Red Cross is currently assisting the Kislaks.
