One person suffered a possible injury on Thursday in a crash on Route 22 in Burrell Township. State Police say that this was at the intersection of Route 22 and Villa Road as a car driven by Judy McGarvey on Route 22 East failed to stop for a red light at the intersection. That’s when 47-year-old Judy Zerfoss of Blairsville pulled out into the intersection on the green light. The impact caused Zerfoss car to spin around, with both cars coming to rest along the curb. Both cars were disabled, and Zerfoss had a possible injury. She was taken to IRMC for treatment. McGarvey was charged with failure to obey traffic control signals.
Two people were injured in a crash on September 13th in White Township. Police say that a car driven by Gina Lupinetti of Indiana was travelling on Indian Springs Road at the intersection with Home Farm Road and collided with a car driven by Robin Haines of Indiana. Both Lupinetti and Haines were taken to IRMC for treatment of suspected minor injuries, while a passenger in Haines’ vehicle was not hurt. Lupinetti was cited for following too closely.
