Phil Kessel scored twice in the final three minutes of the first period and the Penguins topped the Sabres, 5-1, in preseason action last night at the PPG Paints Arena.
Kris Letang, Derick Brassard and Matt Cullen scored for Pittsburgh, now 2-2 in exhibition play. They wrap up preseason tomorrow at Columbus.
