The night-time work on Route 119 in Homer City and Center Township scheduled for last night was postponed for 24 hours.
Flaggers were supposed to be out last night enforcing restrictions in the Route 119 Three Bridges project area, but that was put on hold due to a delay in bridge beam delivery. Crews were to set those beams in place last night. The restrictions will now be in effect starting tonight at 7:00 PM and will run through Thursday morning. The work being weather dependent, so if the weather conditions are bad, the project could be delayed again.
Traffic between the Homer City Sheetz and the intersection of Route 119 and 56 will be controlled by flaggers during the beam setting operations. Motorists can expect some congestion and be prepared to stop in that area during the construction times.
The $15.25 million dollar project is expected to wrap up in late fall of 2019.
