The Indiana County Chamber of Commerce has announced that they will accept nominations for the county’s Business Hall of Fame until the end of the day on Friday.
This is the fifth cycle for the business hall of fame, which started in 2015 as a way to memorialize businesspeople for their work in “promoting and advancing the economic climate of Indiana County.” There are two categories for the Chamber Business Hall of Fame, a living and a deceased category. To be nominated, the nominee must
- Have made outstanding contributions as a business leader significantly impacting Indiana County.
- Display the highest level of ethics in their business dealings
- Be a minimum of 50 years of age
- And be a resident of Indiana County at some point in their life.
Preference will be given to those who have displayed a high level of commitment to Indiana County through civic and philanthropic efforts. Also, the individual may or may not be involved in their business at the time of their induction.
