In addition to the sentencing today of Justin Stevenson for two murders, the Indiana County Court schedule includes the sentencing of a McKeesport man on drug charges, and jury selection in a number of trials.
31-year-old Jeffrey Jackson of McKeesport will be sentenced for guilty pleas to possession with intent to deliver and receiving stolen property in a case from January of this year.
Among the other cases on the court schedule today, jury selection is scheduled today for 34-year-old Vincent Lamar Jackson of Euclid, Ohio on charges of possession with intent to deliver, conspiracy to the same offense, criminal use of a communication device, and two misdemeanor possession charges. This case is from May of last year, but Jackson has been involved in at least two other cases from August of last year, and in July of this year he was caught with five grams of raw heroin, a half-ounce of crack cocaine, a Pringles potato chip can with a false bottom, empty wax bags, a digital scale, and other items used in dealing drugs.
Jury selection is scheduled for 25-year-old Malik Ibn Abdulhadi, who is charged with strangulation, simple assault, disorderly conduct, and harassment for a domestic violence incident in April of this year. Indiana Borough Police say Abdulhadi choked, hit, and pulled the hair of a woman during an argument in the 400 block of South Fisher Avenue.
The trial of 47-year-old Harold Bartlebaugh Jr. of Glen Campbell was to get underway with jury selection today, but last week in Plea Court, he admitted guilt to recklessly endangering another person, with agreement for non-prosecution for rape, sexual assault, terroristic threats, and indecent assault. The case was from June of last year.
The sexual assault trial of George Dorsey of Pittsburgh has been continued to October 22nd. There are also Plea Court appearances today for a DUI case and a false statement case.
