The Penns Manor School Board last night approved revisions to a number of district polices. The policies in question dealt with a variety of topics, including Contracted Service Personnel, Child Abuse, Food Services, Meetings, Adoption of Textbooks, School Wellness, Unlawful Harassment and Suspension and Expulsion.
The board also approved the installation of a stainless steel roll-up door, a year-long commercial liability insurance package that will begin on October1st, and a memorandum of understanding to establish an elementary book club advisor. That will need to be approved by the teacher’s union.
In other action, the board hired Todd Surloff as a long-term substitute guidance counselor and Scott Lowry as a long-term substitute vacation department chair.
Finally, the board will consider at next month’s meeting the district’s Comprehensive Plan Goals and Objectives, which are listed on the Penns Manor website.
