Anita Faye Stitt, 54, of Decker’s Point, PA died unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 4, 2018.
She was born on December 7, 1963 to Herbert L. and Anna Mae (Douglas) Stitt in Lackawanna, NY.
Anita was a 1982 graduate of Marion Center High School. She then attended the Southeastern Travel Academy in Kissimmee, FL. She was employed at several hotels in Virginia before returning to Indiana County. She worked for the BiLo grocery chain in both Indiana and Northern Cambria. She was currently employed at the Park Inn in Indiana.
Anita enjoyed reading, traveling and spending time with her family. She was interested in genealogy and was known as the family historian.
She is survived by her two brothers: Donald (Pauline) Stitt of Decker’s Point, PA and Richard (Susan) Stitt of Indiana, PA; her sister-in-law: Susan Stitt of Lockport, NY; and the following nieces and nephews: Julie (Gary) Fulmer, Mike (Melissa) Stitt; Cathy (Tony) Ward, Gary (Pam) Stitt, Sean Stitt, Shane (Shelly) Stitt, Steve Stitt and Ceara Stitt and many great nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Anita was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, David J. Stitt.
Family and friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. until the time of her Noon funeral service on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at the Rairigh Funeral Home, Ltd. in Hillsdale, PA. Pastor Thomas C. Spiker will officiate. Interment will be at the Oakland Cemetery in Decker’s Point, PA.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be forwarded to an organization which Anita faithfully supported, the Visiting Nurse Association of Indiana Co., Medical Arts Building, Suite 3000, 850 Hospital Rd., Indiana, PA 15701.
