The Armstrong School District says the cleanup of mold in several rooms at West Shamokin High School has been completed and testing in those rooms showed “non-elevated” levels of mold spores and normal air quality. However, two more rooms have been identified as requiring further testing and probable remediation, so the start of school has been pushed back again, to September 11th.
Reynolds Restoration Services handled the cleanup of the classrooms after the mold was discovered last week. They will tackle the new problem areas and then the rooms will be re-tested to ensure that the school building’s air quality is at acceptable levels.
