The new chancellor of the State System of Higher Education took office on Tuesday, and he has already outlined his early agenda. In his “Chancellor’s Blog”, Dan Greenstein says he is “laser focused” on providing students with “an affordable degree that leads to a sustaining career and an opportunity to contribute to their community.”
Greenstein says his visits to each of the fourteen state-owned universities will kick off his efforts. Those visits are scheduled to begin September 18th at Millersville. He is expected to attend and speak at the State System Board of Governors’ fall meetings at IUP, which are scheduled for October 10th and 11th.
Greenstein says he wants to know what the issues are at each university. He says no subject is out of bounds, and he shares his four top-of-mind topics…What do you need most from the chancellor? What topics would you like him to cover when he visits your campus? Is there a specific question that should be addressed? Is there a specific opportunity or challenge that should be tackled?
