There’s been a change of attorneys in the criminal case against Charles Cook, the drifter accused of killing 76-year-old Myrtle McGill in 1991 at her home along South 6th Street in Indiana.
On Friday, his 65th birthday, a new attorney was appointed for Cook. His previous attorney, Robert Manzi Jr., has a conflict with one of the prosecution’s witnesses, so Judge William Martin appointed Aaron Ludwig to take over Cook’s defense.
Martin also cancelled a September 11th motions hearing and vacated a case management order made on July 30th. The judge scheduled a status conference for 2 PM on September 13th.
