In Indiana County Court today, there are a number of cases that will come to final resolution, including the sentencing of four defendants in five criminal cases.
19-year-old Jared Goss of Cherry Tree will be sentenced for guilty pleas in two cases, both from the same day last January. Goss pleaded guilty to receiving stolen property, DUI controlled substance, and a firearms violation in one of those cases, and to possession of a controlled substance in another.
Also today, 40-year-old Randy Shank Jr. of Rossiter will be sentenced for fleeing or eluding police, DUI, and institutional vandalism. He led police on a pursuit before crashing into a utility pole in Canoe Township on March 19th. Police were chasing Shank after an incident in a cemetery at a church. He ran a stop sign and lost control of his vehicle, traveling over an embankment and hitting the pole, but then trying to run away on foot.
27-year-old Russell Rudy of New Alexandria will be sentenced for guilty pleas to possession of drug paraphernalia and to DUI controlled substance.
48-year-old Joy Ann McIntire of Saltsburg is scheduled for sentencing for DUI controlled substance, and 63-year-old Richard Dayton of Blairsville will be sentenced for DUI high rate of alcohol.
There are nineteen other cases in court today in which defendants will plead and be sentenced for DUI and related offenses.
