Today, IUP president Michael Driscoll addressed the university community this morning as part of the kickoff to the 2018-2019 academic year.
As part of his remarks, Driscoll talked about a recent Alumni Attitude Survey, which looked at how alumni looked back at their university experience, and he said that some of the results were positive, but there were some things that needed improvement, including building community and improving the classroom experience.
Driscoll also announced the start of what has been called the “IUP Free Speech Project”, which Driscoll explained as a way to help people better understand what the first amendment really says about free speech.
Move-in activities continue through the weekend, and classes will officially begin on Monday.
