Today marks the start of IUP’s “Welcome Weekend”, with students moving in for the start of the fall semester classes on Monday.
The move-in schedule today includes students who will be living in the Delaney, Whitmyre, and Putt residence halls. Tomorrow, students will begin moving in to the Northern, Stephenson, Wallwork, and Maple East residence halls. Freshmen move in first, and returning students arrive over the weekend.
There are a number of social events scheduled from today all the way through Sunday, and various residence hall and academic department student meetings will take place as well this weekend. IUP President Michael Driscoll offers his annual address at Fisher Auditorium tomorrow morning.
Traffic could be congested on and around the IUP campus this weekend, so drivers are asked to proceed cautiously, and it’s a good idea to avoid driving through campus if you can.
