Tonight’s Chamber After Hours gathering at Disobedient Spirits in Homer City will feature a special event…the unveiling of this year’s Leader’s Circle nominees.
Leader’s Circle honors the volunteer efforts of individuals in several categories, the Athena Award, the Athena Young Professionals, and the Male and Female Civic Leader Awards.
Leader’s Circle committee member Sherry Renosky says they’ve received 23 nominees this year, including seven Athena Award nominees, four for Athena Young Professionals, and six each for Male and Female Civic Leader. The nominees come mostly from organizations which wish to recognize their volunteers, and also from individuals who note outstanding volunteer efforts. Renosky says the winners of the Leader’s Circle awards will be chosen by another county’s Leader’s Circle committee, and to ensure against any appearance of favoritism, they won’t even know the nominees’ names.
Tickets are available now for the Leader’s Circle Awards Dinner, which will be held September 27th at the Indiana Country Club. You can get them from any committee member. For information, contact Carol Fry at her email address, carolfry7@gmail.com.
The host organization for tonight’s Chamber After Hours is the Homer City Area Business Association, which will have display tables and vendors representing its members.
