ROBERT LIMRICK OBITUARY
Robert D. Limrick, 85, of Altoona, PA passed away on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at his
home.
The son of Carl M. and Mary Annabel (McFarland) Limrick, he was born on September 19, 1932 in Montgomery Twp., Indiana County, PA.
Bob retired from Greenwich Colleries, where he had worked as a mechanic for many years. He was an avid hunter; fisherman and baseball player. Bob loved music. He had the natural ability to play the piano; guitar and banjo by ear.
Bob is survived by his wife of seventeen years: Dolores Socie Limrick of Altoona; his three children: Bob Limrick and wife Susan and their family of Marietta, OH; Beth Limrick of Georgia and Craig Limrick and wife Brooke of Reynoldsville, PA; his grandson: Ty Limrick of Reynoldsville, PA; his five stepsons and their families: Bob Socie; Ken Socie; Steve Socie; Randy Socie and Tim Socie, all of Altoona, PA; his three siblings: Mary Jane Torrell and husband Frank of Clymer, PA; Lois M. Babco of Gipsy, PA and Clair J. Limrick and wife Lois of Commodore, PA.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Judith (Firment) Limrick in 1998; his son: Christopher Limrick in 2010; his sister: Evelyn Holiday; and his two brothers: Merle and
Thomas Limrick.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, August 20, 2018 from Noon until the time of the 2:00 p.m. funeral service at the Rairigh Funeral Home, Ltd. in Hillsdale, PA. Bob’s brother, Clair Limrick, will be speaking. Interment will be at Pearce Cemetery in Rossiter, PA.
