Over 100 people were in attendance at the KCAC for a second “Cabinet in your community” event in Indiana, with the focus this time around on health care.
The event, dubbed “Health Care in your Community” by the Wolf administration, was a town hall style event giving people the chance to voice concerns about the health care industry this time, as that was a common topic at the Governor’s Cabinet in your Community events held earlier this year. On hand for this session were Department of Health Secretary Dr. Rachael Levine, Human Services secretary Teresa Miller, Department of Aging secretary Teresa Osborne, Jennifer Smith with the Department of Drug and Alcohol programs, and Insurance Department Chief of Staff Allison Beam.
Some of the topics discussed were lowering the costs of health care, increasing access to health care, disease prevention and consumer education.
