Penelec is saying a falling tree knocked out power to nearly 6000 customers.
Scott Surgeoner of Penelec said that the outage started at 9:47 PM as a tree from outside of PennDOT’s right of way fell into a transmission line that feeds substations in the area. Power was knocked out to 5900 customers at that time.
Crews worked through the night clearing the tree and repairing the line. Power was restored at 3:48 this morning.
