State Police have a suspect in a theft in Armstrong Township that happened in late July. Police are now reporting that between July 29th and 31st, a burglary took place at a garage along South Ridge Road. The garage belonging to an un-named 58-year-old woman had damage to the front and rear doors and items were missing, but police have not disclosed what was stolen. The missing items were found in the possession of a 55-year-old Shelocta man.
Police have charged a15-year-old boy with drug-related crimes. On August 7th, state police found an un-named boy on Country Meadow Lane in Pine Township in possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The boy was charged with violating the controlled substance, drugs, device and cosmetic act. The boy’s name will not be released as he is a minor.
No word on what was taken from a convenience store on Lucerne Road in White Township. The theft happened on Wednesday around 11:00 at Vennard’s. Police have charged 53-year-old Vickie Lynne Lovelace of Shelocta with retail theft, and the charges were filed in District Judge Susanne Steffe’s court.
Police are investigating an incident of criminal mischief in the Young Township area. State Troopers say on Friday around 10:28 AM, police were called out to a location on Elders Ridge Road and found several windows of vehicles had been shot out. The vehicles belonged to a 29-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman, but police have not released their names. Police believe someone with a pellet gun is responsible.
