Indiana Mall will gain two new clients to fill two storefronts, but they are not traditional stores.
Mall Manager Sherry Renosky announced on Indiana in the Morning that an ATA Tae Kwon Do academy will move into the former FYE location. Construction has already started on the martial arts studio. Also, SoBek fitness will move from their location on Oakland Avenue to the former Old Navy storefront. SoBek will continue to be a 24-hour fitness location, and Renosky said they have already worked out a strategy on how to achieve that when the mall is closed. Members will have a keyfob to access the gym after hours by going through the loading dock area for the former Old Navy location. Construction on SoBek will start after Labor Day and they plan on opening in November.
This will mean some shuffling will have to be done with store locations. The current occupant of the Old Navy store is the Laser Tag and Nerf Gun arena from Go Bonkerz, which will move to the former IBEX location, next door to their glow-golf course and across from their primary fun zone and arcade.
The other shuffle will concern Spirit Halloween, a temporary store that traditionally comes into the mall for the fall season. Spirit will now move to the former K-Mart location for the Halloween season.
