Betty Alice Taylor, 69, a resident of St. Andrew’s Village in Indiana, formerly of Dixonville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2018, with her family by her side.
A daughter of the late Walter and Betty Rising Taylor, she was born March 1, 1949, in Indiana.
Betty Alice loved God, children and good music, as she loved to dance! Her favorite color was red. She worked for many years at the Indiana County Sheltered Workshop. Betty Alice had a big heart and would spend hours making children laugh and cleaning up their toys. She was an organizer and liked things to be clean and put back in their proper place. Betty Alice enjoyed latch hooking, eating out and shopping.
She is survived by her brother, George Taylor and wife Bev, of Creekside; three sisters: Carol Montgomery and husband Bud, of Clymer; Brenda Lowe and husband Ron, of Cherry Tree; and Joann Siford and husband Dan, of Ernest; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant sister.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Robinson-Lytle, Inc., Indiana, where a family friend, Phil Faint, will conduct the funeral service at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Interment will be in Uniontown Cemetery.
The family would like to thank all of the staff at St. Andrew’s Village for their care and compassion shown to Betty Alice over the years.
