The Steelers visit the Eagles on Thursday to kick off their preseason schedule.
Chris Boswell is one of the best kickers in the NFL, but is in the last year of his contract. The Tribune-Review today is reporting that Boswell and the team began negotiations on a new deal last week, but he’s letting his agent handle the talks and won’t be involved.
Yesterday’s practice at St. Vincent was shortened by rain. The team gets the day off today, and tomorrow will be the only day this week that practice will be open to the public. With a game on Thursday, there’s a closed practice Wednesday, no practice Friday, then four straight days of practice open to the public Saturday through Tuesday. The Steelers break camp in Latrobe next Wednesday.
