The Pirates were blasted by the St. Louis Cardinals last night, 8-4. They’ll try to win the series this afternoon when they send Trevor Williams to the mound looking for his tenth win of the season.

In the minors, Altoona loaded the bases with one out in the bottom of the 9th but could not score, and the Curve lost to Akron, 9-8. Jordan George hit two home runs for Altoona, and Christian Kelley was 4-for-5.
