Indiana Borough Police charged a 50-year-old Indiana man with two counts of disorderly conduct, and single counts of public drunkenness and resisting arrest for an incident early this morning.
Police say at 1:17 this morning, they were called to the 300 block of Philadelphia street where it was reported that a man was inside a store, throwing merchandise at employees. Police identified the man as John Francis Kemerer, and they also found out he was under the influence of alcohol. He was placed under arrest on a public drunkenness and a disorderly conduct charge, and was originally taken to IRMC to make sure he was medically cleared to go to jail. When he got to the hospital, he resisted officers, and was disorderly in the emergency room. He was taken to Indiana County Jail after that.
He was released after he sobered up. Charges were filed with District Judge Guy Haberl’s office.
