Traffic patterns in the area of the Grove Chapel Climing Lane project in Rayne Township will change on Monday.
PennDOT says that starting at 9:00 AM on Monday, northbound and southbound traffic on 119 will be reduced to one lane controlled by flaggers. Once traffic is shifted to the southbound lanes, the contractor, Ligonier Construction Company, will begin reconstructing the existing northbound lane between Park Road and Grove Chapel Road. That work is only expected to take a couple of days, and traffic patterns should return to normal by Tuesday afternoon.
Congestion and delays are expected during rush hours so you are advised to give yourself some extra time during this time period and be prepared to stop at any moment. The entire project is expected to wrap up in November.
