Emergency crews were busy on Friday responding to a few storm-related calls.
Homer City Fire Department was called out twice within an hour for two reports of trees down. The first was around 2:33 PM in the area of Circle Drive where not only a tree was down, but so were some utility lines. About 15 minutes later, Homer City Firefighters were called out again for a tree down on Waterman Road.
Two vehicle accidents were also reported by Indiana County 911 yesterday. Brush Valley Fire Department , State Police and Citizen’s Ambulance were dispatched to Route 56 in Brush Valley Township for a two-vehicle accident around 12:50 on Friday. The other was reported at 5:33 PM on Parkwood Road in Young Township. Coal Run and Tunnelton Fire Departments were called out along with Citizens ambulance and State Police.
Few details are known on these accidents.
