Two power outages are affecting a lot of Penelec customers today, but they expect to be cleared up soon.
Both of these are weather-related incidents, one in Indiana Borough and one in the Bolviar area. For the outage in Indiana Borough, the storm that came through last night and this morning that cause a cross-arm at the top of a utility pole to fail. The outage affected 928 customers, and many of those customers are expected to be restored by noon today.
A second outage was reported in Bolivar, and in that case, a tree came down and affected power lines in that area. Crews are on the scene for that incident and Penelec officials say power in the Bolivar area will be restored before 1:00 PM.
