A paving project on one of Indiana’s main roads continues this week, and the road will be closed for an extended period of time over the weekend.
While PennDOT has not issued any official news releases on the closure, electronic signs in the area are warning drivers that the road will close at 9 AM this Thursday and the road will remain closed until Monday. This is the planned weekend closure for the Wayne Avenue project, which includes road resurfacing, updating ADA curb ramps and miscellaneous drain work, milling and paving the road between Locust Street and Carter Avenue.
The $440,328 paving project is expected to wrap up by the end of August. The work is being performed by A. Folino Construction.
