The Indiana Borough Council met for a work session on Tuesday night, and got an update on the Community Center Project.
Borough Manager C. Michael Foote said last night that the project’s scope and budget had to be looked at once again, and some things, like work on parts of the Jimmy Stewart Museum and Downtown Indiana offices, had to be cut. Foote said this was due to some of the bids for the exterior work coming in over budget, and some of the interior work had to be restructured.
Foote also gave a presentation on the recent and upcoming changes to efforts in what he called “borough branding”, including subtle changes to the borough’s website to align it with the borough’s letterhead and related designs, and he also announced new signs that have been created to show which borough projects are utilizing tax dollars to complete.
One vote was taken during the meeting, and that was to accept the borough staff recommendation to retain CTA as the borough’s insurance broker, and Traveler’s Insurance as the borough’s insurance carrier.
